A mixed experience. Came here with my family of 5 on a Friday during vacation season (mid-august) and gave it a 3 but the place deserves a 3.5. Which means pretty good overall in my reviews. There is good and bad here. The good: We were seated immediately and despite having an early dinner (5:20pm) the place was reasonably busy. They have parking. Service was excellent. Restaurant was clean. We ordered steaks, shrimp, a burger, and chicken fingers & fries for my youngest. The steaks were delicious and cooked to the right temperatures. Crab imperial was also delicious. My older boy enjoyed his burger as well though the burger just comes with chips not fries despite being ordered from the adult menu. Chicken fingers are the same all over so nothing good or bad there. Salads were fine. The bad: the bourbon shrimp portion of my order while tasty was just 4 small shrimp. The green bean sides that a couple of us got were nasty, either canned or completely overcookedand old, green beans that had turned black in places, completely inedible. Redskin mashed potatoes were flavorless. Overall if you manage your expectations going in for a family dinner here you can come away with a nice meal at a reasonable price. Stay away from cooked vegetables in favor of the salad. The steaks are great but the shrimp is not what you would expect at the ocean. Not the best place but the service is excellent and it's a nice change of pace for a family at the beach.

Wife & I had dinner ... Ham steak was delicious. With green beans & a salad ( wife ) ,...I had stuffed flounder ( with crab imperial ). Which was excellent!.. Our server was Elizabeth. Who was very good ..ask for her! We do... Dessert was sugar free strawberry pie which was very good. Try Warrens Station. You won't be disappointed... Reasonable prices too!

I've been coming to Warrens for 20 plus years. It had been about ten since my last visit. They were always good for a hearty breakfast, but recently I decided to stop on for lunch. Service- Liz is phenomenal. Friendly, attentive and genuine. Food- Excellent! Bacon bourbon chicken and spinach salad with chicken were delicious. Make sure to get some of the clam chowder!

Warren's Station has a special place in my heart. It has been around for as long as I can remember. And, its a great place to get a very decent family meal. The waitstaff is always friendly and prompt and the food is never disappointing. Don't expect a 5 star meal, but a place where you can get quality seafood (or other things) for a very fair price. Get a slice of pie for dessert--incredible! I actually don't think that they serve alcohol here. Not all that important, but something to be aware of.

Had a pretty straightforward breakfast here this morning. It was a little crowded but we got seated after about 5 minutes. I ordered a short stack of pancakes and a side of home fries with onions, my boyfriend got 3 pancakes and a side of sausage. The pancakes were good as were the home fries. I just wish for 2.95 you got more than a little dish. The server was very nice and prompt with our order, refills and our check. Overall it was a nice breakfast. Worth the price.

Very dissatisfied with the quality of food! Even their specialty "hot turkey" was poor, mashed potatoes were lumpy, filling tasted bad, string beans were limp & soggy. Save your money and enjoy another restaurant on vacation!

Warren's Station has been a long time family favorite! Reasonable prices, home cooked food, large portions, and friendly staff. Crab cutlet, fried flounder, and the carrot cake are the best! Definitely stop by and try them.

Delicious breakfast. The chipped beef was great, the beef was tender and not too creamy, a little on the salty side but I would get it again. The turkey sausage was good. The pancakes were the non-fluffy kind, but not greasy as non-fluffy pancakes can be. The bacon was thick and oh so crispy. Great breakfast stop!

Good food. Family friendly. The wait is not long at all for large parties. Our waitress was very friendly. The seafood is fresh. The desserts are huge. Great find.

Good food - good service. I had the stuffed flounder, which was good. Also tried the crab bisque - flavor was there but the crab wasn't. Everyone in my party was happy with their entree. Dessert was huge - shared by all - it was a giant helping of ice cream cake. Would come again.

Stopped in for breakfast while in Fenwick Island. Food was delicious, service was average at best. Our waitress almost smiled once but was just kind of there. In fact, most of the wait staff looked like they were in pain. I ran out of my drink about halfway through the meal, but we never saw her again until it was time for the check. I will say that my chocolate chip pancakes & bacon were delicious, as was my wife's French toast. Good food. Service with a sneer.

Went yesterday for late lunch. Food was good but the hostess was so nasty to my 22 month old daughter. She is a toddler and doesn't sit still... wanted to walk around and see the restaurant. 2 other people were eating so the place was empty, I walked her around and the old lady hostess got super nasty with us. "She needs to be sitting down. Don't let her touch the dessert cooler. Can't you see she is disrupting the other guests?" Mind you the other guests were loving her. Just a nasty old witch

Excellent value for the money. We've been going here for years and its consistently made us happy. I'd agree with the other reviewers asking for real butter for the bread and potatoes.

I used to love coming here for their crab soup but man its not like it used to be. They must have made it with powdered milk or evap milk because it just tasted so fake compared to the rich and creamy soup i remember here. I had a caesar salad and that was probably the worst dressing ive ever had. I cant even describe it. The service was good though and they were fast. Not too pricey.

We and our nighbors made our first vist this season Thursday evening. Again the service and fod was at its best. My recomendation is the crab cuttlet. their version of a crabcake. Better than 99% of other places. If in the area, make it a must stop.

This place has food just like your Mom used to make, if she were a bad cook too. Went here for dinner and had the featured turkey platter which was maybe half a step better than the worst hospital food you've ever had. This place does not believe in spices, not even salt. The restaurant has been open since 1960, and from their texture, I think that's how long they've been cooking their vegetables, which were very overdone. The snap peas did not snap; the green beans were nearly pudding. The service was excellent, though. Given how many others like this place, it's possible that I went on an off night.

Warren's Station offers a great breakfast during the summer season. It is within walking distance of Jimmy's Kitchen so you have a choice of two great breakfast places. We started off at Jimmy's Kitchen but the wait was too long and it was hot inside. We walked over to Warren's Station and had a shorter wait, cooler temperatures, larger dining room and a great breakfast selection.

Great service. Very good for people with kids. Saturday night and only 5 minute wait. Crab soup delicious! Salad is fab, get the house honey mustard. Definitely get crab cake or flounder. Liked it a lot.

We've been to Warren's Station for both breakfast and lunch. Both times the food was decent, the service was friendly and there is definitely a family atmosphere. Breakfast is definitely their stronger meal though. Situated just between north OC and Fenwick, you rarely seem to need to battle crowds for a meal. Good, but not amazing. You can easily do worse.

Warren's Station has a little bit of everything. It's great food and super friendly service. My wife says they have the best scallops she's had. Their other seafood is also great and their breakfast is wonderful too. It's a large place with lots of seating but on the weekends you can expect to wait a few minutes for a seat. We eat here every time we're in the OC area.

Cute place. Food was fresh but average. Crab cake was mostly crab but a lot of shell

Went for breakfast - wish we didn't. Had better at IHOP. Teenager service was slow and full of the usual newbie errors, like leaving dirty dishes on the table and about 23 others. Worse tho, the pancakes and French Toast were...meh. No real butter, and syrup came in packets. Of course, prices were steep for the mediocrity, so the value was poor.

My wife and I stopped in to Warren Station on a whim because I had a seafood craving. Even though they were busy, we were seated within 15 minutes, which was a big surprise. Nothing quite like getting seated quickly on a busy night. The dinner menu was not quite what I expected, with turkey being featured, instead of seafood. After reading the story of the restaurant, that made a lot more sense. Feature aside, I went for the seafood combo, picking crab cutlet (crab cake) and scallops, with a side of corn and a baked potato. Okay, yes, I was having a starchy night. My wife got the crab imperial dinner. The corn was fresh, but average. Not bad, not stunning. The potato was better. Properly cooked and moist, it was easy to cut and eat. Now, the seafood, that was a whole different ballgame. The crab cutlet was a fantastically prepared and cooked crab cake, full of flavor. The scallops I accidentally requested to be fried, and it turned out to be a pleasant treat. Squeeze a little lemon on it and it is bursting with even more flavor. The crab imperial has to be the best crab imperial I have ever had. We had great service from our server. She was fast, she was informative, and she was really nice. She was handling several tables and was able to keep all of them happy without problem. I cannot speak to breakfast, and I can certainly see that some of the breakfast reviews are sub-par. I would still give it a shot, because we had such a great experience. If you are looking for a great dinner, you would be remiss not to visit Warren Station.

Very basic place and not impressed with food or service. Went based on yelp reviews and was let down. Might have been the day shift vs the night shift because it just seemed like the kids working didn't care. If your starving it will do, but if you want quality drive a little more.

My family and i Came for lunch at 12:00. The place was empty that should have been a clue. The chips were stale and burger we had was terrible. Service was ok. The menu was very limited a basic chicken finger, club sandwich or burger place.

Not a pleasant experience overall. Lots of families with young children, so it is quite loud. Service is okay, though a bit slow, and you are clearly rushed the entire time you are there. I ordered the fried flounder with green beans and a baked potato. Large portion of fish, but it was not seasoned well and was bland. Baked potato tasted sour. Green beans were lukewarm. Would not recommend unless you are desperate to find a place without a wait, like we were.

Good family dinner at the beach. Dinner and the service was good. They even had pb&j on the kids menu for my picky eater. Kids chicken tenders was a lot of food. (3 big tenders with a lot of fries that could easily feed 2 kids). We are not big seafood lovers, so we got a burger and a turkey dinner. Both were pretty good and we would come back again. Dessert looked great, but we were too full.

Really enjoyed our meals. My husband got the stuffed flounder with sides of succotash and green beans. He said the flounder was great. The green beans and succotash were just okay. I got the broiled crab cutlet with broiled shrimp. The crab cutlet is just an oddly shaped crab cake. Both the crab cake and the shrimp were very good. I got the same sides as my husband and agreed that they were just okay. Our daughter got the ham steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. She enjoyed her entire meal. The rolls were also good, thought I would have liked to have real butter as an option rather than just the smart balance. I'm on vacation after all! Lastly, I got a piece of the peanut butter pie to go and enjoyed it later than evening. It was very good! I think we will be heading to Warren's at least one more time before we leave the beach this year!

After an initial delay, probably caused by mis-communication between the hostess and waitress, our service was very prompt. We ordered the flounder fillets, ham steak, sauteed soft shell crabs, and crab "cutlet". I've not heard it referred to as a "cutlet" but it's a basic crab cake. All of the meals were served very hot, very fresh, including the rolls and vegetable sides. I was personally very happy with my flounder. It definitely tasted freshly caught. Everyone in our party was very satisfied with their meal. The desserts we shared were cheesecake, mile high ice-cream cake with meringue, and a lemon meringue. All were very delicious. The one star is lost because in order to pay, the customer must stand in line at the register, and the line often extends out far enough to closely align the derrieres of people waiting to pay with the heads of patrons at tables trying to eat. Definitely not optimum. Besides, whenever I see wait staff excluded from the check paying process it brings back personal experience of a restaurant owner who didn't hand over the tips. That one criticism aside, I will definitely return to Warrens Station, but I will not accept a table near the register.

They have excellent turkey here with great breads for sandwiches. I find this such a dependable place for good solid food and lovely service. The takeout area is easy to use, you can sit and wait and the young (very ) ladies make sure you have the meal exactly the way you want it.

Warrens is a family favorite. My in-laws eat at Warrens multiple times a week in the summer. The crab cutlet is normally ordered by at least two people at the table. We have made it a tradition for at least 8 years to go to Warrens for mothers day. Good prices for a being so close to the beach

Had lunch and breakfast here!! Great well priced, family friendly restaurant with homestyle food. Chocolate chip pancakes were awesome, Creamed chip beef was creamy and good without over doing it! We love going out to breakfast and I always order my eggs over medium- but I rarely get it over medium- however- here it actually came done correctly! Yesterday - I had a fantastic cup of cream of crab soup- and awesome soft shell crab sandwich. Kids had well cooked chicken tenders as BLT. Husband had a Cobb salad that was superb! Great solid family place! You can't go wrong here!

This is a review for breakfast. I know, you are thinking "two stars?" Something has to be terrible which isn't the case here. I am going by yelp's scale of "I've had better". To get it started, no they didn't do anything wrong. Service is quick and efficient, the servers are friendly and the place is easy to find and park at. The menu is decent and the prices are in the normal beach range. So what is the issue? They are *not* special in any meaningful way. The pancakes are just passable, the coffee is hot and flavorless. Bacon is the standard terrible hotel quality stuff. I'm sure you know what I mean, lots of calories and no flavor to make it worth it. Same goes for the french toast. I want something that is almost a custard, not spray painted yellow toast with powdered sugar on top. Cream chipped beef is ok, but there is much better around. That being said, if you have kids you are in for a treat, really. They are very well setup to deal with families of all sizes and have pancakes for kids. I just wish they had chef's with an expression of creativity rather than just people who read and replicate a menu endlessly.

Warren's Station is inexpensive and nothing fancy or outstanding, but it's a good place to get some scrambled eggs, a sandwich for lunch, or a slice of one of their homemade pies. Comfortable and sort of seaside-colonial inside. They don't have real maple syrup, which disappoints the New Englander in me but isn't particularly surprising. I was a little bummed that the pie at Cool Whip on it instead of real whipped cream. That said, I liked the place :-)

I was just there last week end and the place was packed. We'd heard that it was a good place to take a family and indeed it was full of them. Prices seemed reasonable but you get what you pay for. They call their crab cakes "crab cutlets" and although it's supposed to be a great family recipe, I've gotten better ones from the grocery store. Mine and my wife's were full of shells. I couldn't believe this was the dish they hang their hat on. My son's hot dog roll fell apart when he picked it up the first time. stale I guess. We asked for another and it was the same as the first. The shrimp was fried with no breading. A bit different or maybe a mistake, I don't know. At least my scallops weren't chewy. Everything else was so so.

My family and I have been going to Warren's Station every summer for as long as I can remember. The food and service is always consistently great! My favorite dish is the Seafood Combo platter which includes broiled or fried (I always choose broiled) flounder, crab cutlet, shrimp and scallops with the choice of two side dishes. It has always been delicious! Be sure to save room for dessert as there are plenty and they are all homemade. My wife and I tried the Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie a few nights ago and it came out warm and gooey like a chocolate chip cookie - awesome. I highly recommend Warren's Station for a reasonably priced dinner at the beach!

I've only been to Warren Station for breakfast., but like it a lot. Like Kristine said, it's comfortable and seaside-colonial inside. Seems very family orientated. The waitress was really sweet and it was pretty inexpensive. Definitely a fan of this place. I'll have to try it for lunch or dinner next time.
